We recommend washing your nappies at least once before use to remove the manufacturing residue from the materials used. Washing your nappies helps improve the absorbency of hemp and it will continue to improve after washing several times.
How do you store your nappies in their bucket (pail)?
We choose to drypail, that’s right, no more soaking of nappies. All our nappies go into the bucket with no water (wet ones right away and the soiled ones after a squirt with a Little Squirt if needed).
What is involved with washing?
Use a minimal amount of washing liquid/powder, whatever you normally use is fine, and we either use Dettol or Canestan Rinse washing in the final rinse.
Can I put my nappies into the dryer?
The short answer is YES. Our nappies go into the dryer when feeling lazy. Generally nappies go onto the washing line till they are dry, but to make them extra soft pop them into the dyer for 15 minutes.
How do I get rid of stains?
Simply hang your nappies on the line in the sunshine.
Embellished Nappies
Nappies with applique or other trim will require a gentle touch. We do not recommend putting these nappies in a dryer. If you can, wash these nappies in a mesh bag to prolong the life of your embellishments.
Children Clothing
All our clothing is washing machine & dryer safe. Warm iron is recommended.
None of our items are able to be dry cleaned.
